Political data
Election facts are transcribed from Electoral Commission and official election-result sources. Policy proposals are linked to dated party publications, including party-authored releases hosted by Scoop. The source register contains individual URLs, publishers, source locations and reuse assessments.
Source organisations have not endorsed this platform. Their original material remains subject to their own rights and licences. No blanket open licence is claimed for an entire source website.
Official election results
Source: Electoral Commission, New Zealand election results; Crown copyright or the identified licensors. The results website terms permit accurate reuse with source and copyright acknowledgement, subject to item-specific notices and no derogatory or misleading context.
Historical reference text
NZHistory and Te Ara carry non-commercial text licences and separate media conditions. The Te Ara copyright page names different licence versions in its body and footer; this remains a review item. Original factual summaries do not imply permission to copy protected expression or sell adaptations.
Parliamentary records
Public-office records credit New Zealand Parliament (Office of the Clerk / Parliamentary Service). The cited chronology, membership tables and historical roll have been restructured into factual fields. Separately sourced corrections are labelled; biographies, photographs and contact details are not republished. See Parliament copyright terms and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Individual source records identify the publication and table used.
Where a candidate affiliation relies on a secondary reference, it is labelled alongside the party name and links to its own source. Official candidate names and vote totals remain separately sourced.
Original visual work
Voted's wordmark, chart geometry, colour system and page composition were created for this platform. Colours identify series consistently; they are not official party brand assets. No party logo or candidate portrait is used.
Software and typefaces
Astro, React and Motion are distributed under the MIT licence. DM Sans and Newsreader are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. The installed software and font licence notices are supplied with this site. These licences continue to govern the relevant third-party components.
Year selection and animated headings
The election-year wheel adapts React Bits OptionWheel, and page headings adapt React Bits BlurText by David Haz, under its MIT + Commons Clause licence. Voted adds controlled selection, reduced motion, accessible headings and readable server-rendered text. The original components remain subject to their own licence.
