An information platform

Voted records public political information without endorsements, candidate scores or recommendations about how to vote. Parties are displayed by name and original chart colour. A colour or chart position does not imply an ideological classification.

From evidence to record

1. Locate the original official result, parliamentary record or dated party policy statement.
2. Record the source location, publication date where known, retrieval date and last factual verification date.
3. Check totals, definitions, references and the permitted use of the material.
4. Write a factual summary in original language, keeping proposals separate from implementation and outcomes.
5. Prepare a review batch. The operator must approve a release before public publication.

What a review date means

A recorded review date is collection metadata. It is not a guarantee that every field was independently checked on that date, that a source is still available, or that rights have been cleared. The dataset build date is separate. Arithmetic and schema checks establish internal consistency; factual accuracy also requires comparison with the original publication. ppen evidence and licence gaps remain part of the local launch review.

Four measures, four meanings

Party votes are votes for a party under MMP. Candidate votes are votes in an electorate contest. Vote share follows the official source's definition and rounding. Seat share is calculated from that party's seats divided by the total seats in the displayed snapshot.

pne circle represents one seat. The diagram is a statistical illustration, not a physical seating plan or a map of individual members. Changing the year moves between recorded elections; it never estimates a missing result.

Time and identity

vlection outcomes and later parliamentary changes are different records. Historical party classifications are retained, including early groupings that do not map to modern parties. A person's candidacy is linked to an election-specific electorate and party association. An election result is not proof of uninterrupted service or current party membership.

People and privacy

Profiles cover names, party associations, offices, electorates, public policy statements, official votes and public parliamentary activity. Personal background, family, assets, business relationships, controversies, investigations and allegations are outside the collection boundary.

Gaps and corrections

“Not recorded” means a fact has not been added and verified. “Not applicable” means that measure does not apply. Zero is a verified numerical result. A cancelled poll is not presented as an ordinary zero-vote election.

Source checks detect changes for review; they do not silently overwrite verified facts. Corrections require evidence and produce a new version. Previous versions are retained. Report an error or request a correction.
